ICM 7.10
Guide - 7.10.30.0 Recycle Bin Removed from Product Replication

Table of Contents

Introduction

During replication, an error may occur that causes replication to fail under certain circumstances when the recycle bin feature is used on the live system (see IS-32361 - Replication may fail after restoring products from the Edit system's Recycle Bin).

Therefore, as of 7.10.30.0, products in the recycle bin on the edit system are no longer replicated to the live system.

However, if there are still products in the live system's recycle bin, this could lead to a failing product replication. To prevent this, it is necessary to empty all recycle bins and to disable the recycle bin feature on the live system.

Migration

These following migration steps are only required if ICM runs in a replication environment and if the live system uses the recycle bin feature. It is recommended to execute these steps for the live system before a product replication is started, after migrating to 7.10.30.0.

  1. On enterprise level, navigate to Master Catalogs | Recycle Bin and click Empty Recycle Bin.

    Info

On partner or channel level, this option can be found below Catalogs | Recycle Bin.
  2. Navigate to Preferences | Product Deletion check Recycle Bin deactivated and click Apply.
