Infrastructure as a service (IaaS) is a facet of cloud computing. It is considered the most "basic" cloud-service model, offering computing infrastructure (virtual machines and other resources) as a service on a subscription basis.

The capability provided to the customer is to provide processing, storage, networks, and other fundamental computing resources where the customer is able to deploy and run arbitrary software, which can include operating systems and applications. The customer does not manage or control the underlying cloud infrastructure but has control over operating systems, storage, and deployed applications; and possibly limited control of some networking components (e.g., host firewalls).

IADGenerally, interaction design is a user interface design methodology, the practice of designing interactive computer systems and services. Its main focus is on the human/machine communication, the action/reaction dynamic of interactive systems, the application's status, and the workflows to support the intended business processes. See UX.

The International Bank Account Number (IBAN) is an international standard for identifying bank accounts across national borders.

The IBAN is a combination of

  • country code (Ländercode)
  • check digit (Prüfziffer)
  • bank identification number (Bankleitzahl)
  • bank account number (Kontonummer)

The length of the number depends on the country (Germany: 22 digits)

In case the the financial transactions takes place between different countries the consumer has to provide

  • international bank account number (IBAN)
  • bank identifier code (BIC)

Internationalization is the process of designing a software application so that it can potentially be adapted to various languages and regions without engineering changes. It is an integral part of ongoing development.

Internationalization must consider different languages and writing systems, different numeral systems, punctuation etc., as well as different economic conventions, including variations in number formats, address formats, currencies, systems of measurement, etc.

Generally, internationalization and localization (sometimes combined as "globalization") are means of adapting computer software to different languages, regional differences and technical requirements of a target market.

Overview - Inventory

An invoice or bill is a commercial document issued by a seller to the buyer, indicating the products, quantities, and agreed prices for products or services the seller has provided the buyer. An invoice indicates the buyer must pay the seller, according to the payment terms.

In the rental industry an invoice must include a specific reference to the duration of the time being billed, so rather than quantity, price and discount the invoicing amount is based on quantity, price, discount and duration. Generally speaking each line of a rental invoice will refer to the actual hours, days, weeks, months etc being billed.

From the point of view of a seller, an invoice is a sales invoice. From the point of view of a buyer, an invoice is a purchase invoice. The document indicates the buyer and seller, but the term invoice indicates money is owed or owing. In English, the context of the term invoice is usually used to clarify its meaning, such as "We sent them an invoice" (they owe us money) or "We received an invoice from them" (we owe them money).

In online shops there is a payment method offered under the name "invoice".
The correct name of the payment method is open invoice.

An invoice will be created during the delivery process and will be send to the consumer together with the package or separately and contains:

  • company information (see imprint)
  • order and product information
  • payment terms
  • delivery terms
  • prices and service charges, value added taxes
  • call center contact
  • terms for returns

The content of an invoice has to comply with legal requirements of the delivery country.

invoice address

An invoice address is a postal address where the invoice will be delivered to.

The invoice address is provided by the customer during the registration or the checkout process and has to be an home address since it is used for the creditworthiness check, the accounting and dunning process.

ISML functionISML functions are used in ISML to perform a specific task and return a specific value when the ISML template is processed to generate its output. ISML functions are, for example, used to dynamically generate URLs for links to other storefront pages, like url(), urlex(), or to operate on strings.Overview - ISML
ISML tagISML tags define commands that describe how Intershop 7/Intershop Commerce Management should embed dynamic data into a page, and how to format this data together with regular HTML code. An ISML tag has a specific name that always starts with the prefix IS, such as <isprint>or <isset>. A tag can have several attributes to control its behavior.Overview - ISML
ISML templateAn ISML template is a web page model written in Intershop Markup Language, which is primarily used to add dynamic content to a web page. ISML templates can retrieve data from the pipeline dictionary and trigger the execution of pipelines.Overview - ISML
issuing bank

The issuing bank (or card-issuing bank) is the financial institution or other organization that issued the credit card to the cardholder (customer). This bank bills the customer for repayment and bears the risk that the card is used fraudulently.

The issuing bank extends a line of credit to the customer. Liability for non-payment is then shared by the issuing bank and the acquiring bank, according to rules established by the card association brand.

item totalin requisitions and orders, the total price for one product (product price x quantity)
item-based quotetype of quote where prices are proposed and negotiated individually for each line item
iterationAn iteration is a single cycle in a software engineering process which typically consists of planning, analyzing, specifying, implementing and testing tasks. Iterative development involves repeating this sequence of tasks, which successively produces results closer to a desired objective and helps minimizing project risks. Iterations can be used in different software engineering approaches like waterfall, SCRUM, XP.

In Enfinity Suite 6, Intershop 7 and Intershop Commerce Management, job refers to the unattended, scheduled background execution of a specific pipeline. Typically, this feature is used to implement reoccurring tasks like scheduled order exports, import processes or database cleanup operations.

Jobs can be combined via process chains.
