A shopping cart in an online shop is a virtual basket where the customers collect the products they want to buy. Depending on the online shop, the shopping cart offers different features, like changing the quantity of products, deleting products from the shopping cart, redeeming coupons, starting the checkout.
In e-commerce the checkout process reflects the steps that have to be performed to place an order. All data needed to fulfill the order have to be provided by the customer.
