3 New & Noteworthy

3.1 Improvements Import Products and Price Lists

The import of products and price lists has been reworked to improve performance, error handling and maintainability. In addition, configuration options have been implemented for optimization capabilities in projects.

The update or rebuild of the search index can be configured depending on the ratio between imported and existing products in the database in order to accelerate the product import.

Validation and bulking options are available to configure the price list import. For example, the validation can be disabled if it can be guaranteed that the import file is correct.

3.2 Support for Personal Data Requests

In order to comply with GDPR requirements in regards to data portability and data deletion of personal data, it is now possible to handle personal data requests. Customers can trigger requests to receive personal data or requests for data deletion either from the storefront My Account or the Contact Us page.

CSR`s can create new requests as well as handle requests via the Commerce Management Backoffice. Based on requests for data, all customer data can be exported in JSON format for a specific customer. Based on requests for deletion, all customer data can be deleted for a specific customer.

4 Limitations

The new Solr Cloud 6.x adapter will be officially released as part of an early patch version after it is fully functional. Up until then only an older version of Solr 4.x is used (see also System Requirements - Intershop Commerce Management B2C/B2X 7.9).
